Brenda Loringer is the Owner of EduPlanners and lead educational consultant. Since 1988, she has worked in the field of mental and behavioral healthcare, working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with a myriad of emotional and behavioral health issues. Her own experience as an "out of the box" learner and struggles as a teen give her an insightful perspective when working with young people and their families.
Brenda's career began in the San Francisco Bay Area, working for a small behavioral health and substance abuse facility that would eventually, by acquisitions, grow into the largest provider of services in the country. Believing in the need for smaller, independent programming, Brenda sought to provide options for families in Clinical Outreach roles for some of the top facilities in the field. Along the way, she became a Certified Addiction Specialist and trained alongside some of the leaders in Family Intervention. In 2004, Brenda joined a consulting firm in the Bay Area and found her passion for assisting families in developing long term plans for their student's individual needs.
Brenda recruited to EduPlanners in 2012 and, after falling in love with all that Nashville has to offer, moved permanently and took ownership in early 2015. She is consistently traveling throughout the country to visit and evaluate boarding schools, day schools, and therapeutic program options that exist for all types of students, from young children to young adults.
Brenda has two adult children, so she and her husband spend most of their free time with their three dogs.
